Concerning Behavior

and Discipline

Overnight trips, day trips and in-school activities have been arranged for any BHS student who is in “good standing” demonstrated by positive effort in classes, school attendance, and good citizenship in the school and community.  Students are considered ineligible for overnight and some day trips if they have been involved in any major or repeated violations of BHS Code of Conduct.

Students who fail to meet the standard of "good standing" may at the discretion of the administrative team be assigned to an in-school Intersession activity

All students and parents need to be aware that school policy and rules apply during any school function including any off-campus field trips.  Failure to follow school rules during an intersession trip can result in Failed Participation on the student's transcript as well as other penalties as defined by BHS Code of Conduct as seen in the student handbook. BEHAVIORAL  EXPECTATIONS

It is our expectation that students will behave in a manner that is a positive reflection of the Bow High School community. Students are to be respectful of property and follow the Bow High School Code of Conduct. This is a school sponsored trip and Bow School District Policies as outlined in the Bow High School Handbook will be strictly enforced.

Be sure to check out this video of regarding overnight trips:

  1. All luggage and carry-on bags will be checked before they are loaded on the bus.

  2. Students are required to attend all events included on the schedule.

  3. Activities have been planned to follow a time schedule therefore it is important to be on time for all events.

  4. The possession of alcohol, drugs and weapons is strictly forbidden. Consequences for infractions will be enforced per the Bow High School Handbook.

  5. While at the hotel, Bow High School students are permitted to visit other Bow High School students’ and or chaperones’ rooms only.

  6. Bow High School students are to remain in their assigned rooms after room check. For students’ safety we ask that windows and doors be securely locked. If assistance is needed, the phone is to be used to call a chaperone for instructions or help. Students are not to leave their rooms before 6:30 am.

  7. Students must report the following to a chaperone as soon as possible:  Any damage, accidental or otherwise to the room or vans.  Missing or stolen articles.  Harassment of any sort by any person.
